Penang is without a doubt the food capital of Malaysia. The locals take their food incredibly seriously, and the local cuisine has been indelibly influenced by its vibrant multiculturalism. The Chinese influence is everywhere in Penang for example but no more so than in the food. One of the things George Town is most famous for is its hawker stalls full of street food, but head to Little India, and its mounds of spices you'll see being sold rather than hot curry served on a banana leaf.

Luxury Penang holidays wouldn't be luxury without a stay on the coast, but the beaches have more to offer than sunbathing; watch baby turtles being hatched, or head to Orangutan Island for something truly unique.
