Description, Services & Facilities

Ever since 1979, Sabi Sabi has been host to visitors from all over the world, attracted to the area because of the amazing safari experience that can be offered. The Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve is located in the notoriously expansive and beautiful 65,000-hectare Sabi Sands Wildtuin within the south-western area of the Kruger National Park. It’s an oasis of wildlife and untamed beauty, where you’ll easily be able to watch the predators of the African wilderness roaming their claimed lands. You’ll be getting up close and personal with the animals at the Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge, Kruger National Park. Guests are often thrilled by the sightings they see when they go out on the safari trips that are on offer by the Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge. Seeing just a lion, rhino or elephant roaming freely in their natural habitat, and not in a zoo, is an amazing experience for both the tourists and the locals. The amazing beauty of the place never gets old, no matter how many times you’re lucky enough to encounter such great sightings. Sightings don’t just stop in the day, however. During the dusk you will be able to go out on more safari adventures to take a look at the nocturnal animals, including the leopard and the hyena. You’ll be led out by experts in Land Rovers, with Game Rangers and qualified Trackers who can follow animals off-road and on-road right into the heart of the African Bushveld. Bird watchers are also keen to visit the area, with an astonishing 350 species of birds registered as living in the Kruger National Park. On just one summer’s day, you’ll probably see more species of bird than you’ll ever see in a lifetime back home. Sabi Sabi is only a one-hour flight from the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, which is direct to the Sabi Sabi airstrip. It’s more accessible than most holidaymakers seem to think. It often comes as a surprise given that the luxury Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge is situated in the heart of the African wilderness. You may also find your way to the lodge by flying via the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, or instead choose a 5-hour chauffeured or self drive all the way from Johannesburg.
All meals, including the dinners you can get from the open-air on-site boma, are called by blasts of a kudu horn. This summoning tells all guests that the food is ready. The lodge’s restaurant includes wooden thatched decks, an elegant dining room and a boma that provide for anybody’s dining tastes. You can have an ambient and romantic dinner out under the stars, or an intimate and romantic dinner within an elegantly designed dining room.
