Immerse yourself in the wilderness of western Tanzania at Chada Katavi. This remote safari outpost sits on the edge of the Chada Plain in Katavi National Park where herds of Cape buffalo roam the plains and pods of hippos crowd the rivers. Evoking a sense of safari camps of old, expect everything you need and nothing you don’t including spacious open-fronted tents and outdoor bucket showers (hot water on request!) Look out from the cosy communal lounge to see elephants walking past and take the opportunity to go fly camping, sleeping beneath a mosquito netted tent gazing at the stars and dining on a candlelit three course meal. Authentic safari experiences don’t get much better than this.
Delicious, un-fussy meals are served in the dining tent, with sundowners sipped beside the camp fire.
