This 4 night tailor-made itinerary is the perfect add-on for your Tanzania holiday, travelling through national parks and game reserves through valley rifts and along crater floors. Departing from and returning to Arusha, the itinerary travels through Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and offers the chance to enjoy the most extraordinary game sightings in this wildlife diverse country.

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha town centre in the afternoon and drive to Tarangire National Park. The drive takes you across the Great Rift Valley and along the edge of the scenic Maasai Steppe. Along the way, keep an eye out for herds of cattle and farmland dotted with traditional thatched huts. You will arrive at your camp in the afternoon and have an opportunity to soak in the surroundings and enjoy the facilities before dinner.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park game drives

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, set out in a game vehicle into Tarangire National Park for a full day of thrilling game viewing. Look out for elephant and buffalo as well as plains game camouflaged within the savannah.

Day 3: Lake Manyara game drive

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy an exciting game drive in the park for the morning until around noon when you will continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at your lodge in time for a late lunch. You have the option of visiting a Maasai village.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy some unique game viewing opportunities on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. This 102 square mile landscape was formed by the collapse of an ancient volcano more than twenty-five million years ago. Stop for a leisurely picnic lunch served near a lake frequented by hippo. In the afternoon, you return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 5: Depart Arusha

Arusha - UK

After breakfast, return by road to Arusha arriving at around noon to connect with your onward arrangements. End of tour.
