Luxury Barbados Inspiration

When to go

Barbados boasts almost year round sunshine, while its east Caribbean location on the Atlantic Ocean ensures clean air and a fresh breeze. Barbados is driest from December to June, with temperatures of around 30C. July through to November is Barbados' rainy season, but even so the showers are brief and are often a pleasant distraction from the otherwise hot conditions.

The rainy period from July to November also happens to be hurricane season, however, the chances of a hurricane affecting your Barbados holiday are slim, and visitors flock to Barbados throughout the year.

What to see

Barbados is a beautiful Island with miles of stunning beaches. The west in particular offers fantastic beaches for sunbathing while sheltered from the Atlantic breeze and the south is perfect for visitors wanting to snorkel around the vibrant reefs, Worthing Beach being a highlight. The slightly windier east coast is ideal for windsurfing and other water sports. There are also many land sports available in Barbados, with golf and horse riding both popular.

Cultural attractions in Barbados include the two Jacobean Mansions of St Nicolas Abbey in St Peter and Drax Hall in St George. Harrison's Cave is also worth a visit, exhibiting fantastic crystalline walls. There is also an abundance of shopping and entertainment venues in Barbados, with Bridgetown featuring large shopping complexes while St Lawrence Gap offers a variety of bars and clubs, karaoke and live music.
