The famous flightless Cormorants inhabit the Fernandina Island, as well as Galapagos penguins and sea lions. On Santa Maria Island flamingos and green sea turtles can be sighted. Isabela Island is renowned for its Galapagos tortoises. Pinta Island was where the famous Galapagos tortoise “Lonesome George “recently passed away.
