Day 1

Hanoi Arrival

Be welcomed at Hanoi Airport and transferred to your hotel for check in, before embarking on a cyclo tour of the city's Old Quarter and Hoam Kiem Lake area to see the ancient Ngoc Son Temple. The rest of the day is free to spend at your leisure.

Day 2


This morning, you will participate in a fun treasure hunt designed to help you explore the Old Quarter of Hanoi, looking for objects at different places from markets, temples to traditional houses. In the afternoon, continue to explore Hanoi with its famous Temple of Literature, known as the “First University of Vietnam” and Ethnology Museum where you can learn about the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.

Day 3

Hanoi - Ninh Giang - Hai Phong

Transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for the train to Cam Giang before heading to Ninh Giang, a small farming village where you can enjoy a puppet show performed by locals and experience the genuine warmth of the villagers,with lunch prepared by a local family. In the afternoon, set off to Hai Phong where you'll arrive late in the afternoon for your overnight stay.

Day 4

Halong Bay

This morning leave Hai Phong for Halong Bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site with 3,000 limestone islands dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin. Upon arrival enjoy a welcome drink before your cruise through the bay. Take your lunch on board and go swimming, kayaking and walking to the summit of Titop Island. In the evening, attend a cooking demonstration by the chef before enjoying a gala dinner. Relax with a movie, board games and spa services (at an additional charge) or try your hand at squid fishing. Stay overnight on board the boat.

Day 5

Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue

Wake early for a Tai Chi class on the sundeck, followed by tea and coffee with pastries and cookies. Afterwards, explore Sunrise Cave, one of the largest grottoes in Halong Bay before returning to Halong harbour for your transfer to Hanoi Airport and your onward flight to Hue. Time permitting; you’ll stop at the 300 year old But Than Pagoda. Be met at Hue and transferred to your hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 6


Start your day with a bicycle ride to the village of Sinh, stopping at Thah Tien and passing cows, ancient villages, rivers and churches dotted throughout the countryside. In the afternoon, visit the Imperial Palace on the banks of the Perfume River and the Tomb of Tu Duc. Return to Hue for an overnight stay.

Day 7

Hue - Hoi An

Begin the day with a visit to the Thien Mu Pagoda before boarding a traditional sampan for a cruise along the Perfume River to the Tomb of Minh Mang. Depart for Hoi An via the scenic Hai Van Pass to take in the view of Vietnam’s stunning central coastline, stopping at the sandy beaches of Lang Co. Arrive into Hoi An in the late afternoon.

Day 8

Hoi An

Stroll through the narrow streets of Hoi An, explore the centuries old Chinese houses, the Japanese Bridge, Chinese Temple and Tan Ky trading house. In the afternoon, participate in a lantern-making workshop, where you’ll have the chance to learn this traditional handicraft. The rest of the day is spent at your leisure; we recommend a trip to the beach or further exploring Hoi An.

Day 9

Surrounds of Hoi An Town

This morning transfer to Buffalo Cart Station where you’ll take a buffalo cart ride through the countryside to a local farm. Join the farmers in their daily activities including ploughing and raking the soil and take part in the stages of rice processing. Sit down for a much-earned lunch of traditional Vietnamese specialities including Tam Huu, rice pancakes, spring rolls, soups and caramel pork. Return to Hoi An to spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 10

Hoi An - Danang - Ho Chi Minh City

Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll start your exploration of this dynamic city. Visit historic sites from the Old Post Office of Saigon and the Notre Dame Cathedral to Dong Khoi Street and the Chinese District. In the afternoon learn the art of sand painting and create your own masterpiece! Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 11

Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City

Get out of the city and travel to the Cai Be District for an excursion into the Mekong Delta. Experience the daily rhythm of local life by taking local ferries to cross canals, cycling through small lanes and stopping en-route to sample seasonal fruit, tea, honey and wine. At the end of the morning, take another boat trip for lunch at a local home before a rowing trip along the Cay Da canal. End the trip by transferring to your hotel in Can Tho.

Ho Chi Minh City departure

Enjoy time at leisure before transferring to the airport for your flight home or on to your next destination.
