Day 1


Arrival in Amman.
Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman. Transfer to Amman hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 2

Amman - Pella - Um Quais - Amman

After breakfast, depart for a full day excursion of Pella and Um Qias. Pella, one of the world’s most ancient towns, offers fascinating excavated ruins from the Graeco-Roman period. Explore the remains of the Chalcolithic settlement from the 4th millennium BC and view ancient remains from the Bronze and Iron Age, such as walled cities, Byzantine churches, and medieval mosques. Next, visit Um Quais, a beautiful ancient city set high up on a hill overlooking the Jordan Valley and Sea of Galilee. Take time to see the black basalt theatre, basilica, and several black sarcophagi in the courtyard here. Enjoy a chance for a little shopping in the colonnaded main street before driving to your hotel in Amman for the night.

Day 3

Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Kerak - Petra

After breakfast, you'll travel along the 2,000 year old stretch of Kings Highway. Linking famous Biblical towns and ancient villages from the Stone Age, the road leads to Madaba for your first stop. Known as “The City of Mosaics”, the town offers the incredible Greek Orthodox Church of St George where you can admire the 6th century Byzantine map of the Holy Land made entirely out of mosaics. Head onwards to Mount Nebo, the burial place of Prophet Moses, and admire one of the best views of the Holy Land from an altitude of 840 metres. Afterwards, continue along the Kings Highway to Kerak, the Crusader Castle built in the 12th century AD. Situated on a hilltop 1,000 metres above sea level, you can admire a magnificent view of the valley on three sides. Depart for your hotel in Petra for the night.

Day 4

Amman - Jerash - Dead Sea - Amman

After breakfast, depart for a full day excursion of the ancient city of Jerash, known as the “Jewel of the North” and one of the largest and best preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world today. Lying for centuries under a cloak of sand, it was finally excavated and restored over the past 70 years. Explore its ancient paved and colonnaded streets, striking theatres, fascinating temples, Roman baths, and impressive public squares and plazas before heading onwards to the Dead Sea. Known as the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea offers spectacular natural beauty surrounded by a network of rivers, beautiful mountains, and the hills of Jerusalem. Spend a few hours lazily floating and enjoying the therapeutic qualities of this salty sea before departing for your hotel in Amman for the night.

Day 5

Full Day Tour of Petra

After breakfast, depart for a full day tour of the Red Rose City of Petra, one of Jordan’s most famous ancient landmarks. Voted one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Nabatean city of Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most well-known tourist destinations in the world. Enjoy a short walk or horse ride through the “Siq”, a 1,210 metre narrow canyon that leads to the old city and admire your very first view of Petra – the Treasury Monument of Al Khazneh. Spend a few hours exploring the 2,000 year old architecture of this ancient city, equipped with the knowledge of a professional guide and admire the tombs, palaces and temples carved into the rose-coloured sandstone rock. Depart for your hotel overnight in Petra.

Day 6

Petra – Little Petra, Al-Beidha – Wadi Rum – Amman

After breakfast, a short 10 minute drive will transport you to Little Petra, “Al-Beidha” one of Petra’s most important suburbs. Entering through the Siq al-Barid, a narrow gorge known as “the cold Siq”, you will travel through what was once used as the entry and exit for the ancient trading routes with the north and north-west. Explore the old buildings carved into sandstone that were used as homes or for storage and tombs and see the remains of the painted frescoes that date back to the 1st century AD. Continue onwards to Wadi Rum, Jordan’s incredibly vast desert where the famous Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. A 4x4 jeep ride is a great way to experience the vastness and scenic beauty of the desert before departing for your hotel in Amman for the night.
