Day 1

Depart UK

  Depart UK on your chosen airline.

Day 2

Cultural Triangle - Sigiriya/Dambulla/Habarana

Transfer by road for a scenic journey to your chosen hotel in The Cultural Triangle Sigiriya/Dambulla/Habarana. Rest of afternoon at leisure.

Overnight at Cinnamon Lodge, Habarana (Superior Room). Other hotels available on request.

Day 3


After early breakfast depart for Anuradhapura. After lunch commence a city tour of the ancient ruins of Anuradhapura and the Sri Maha Bodhi (the oldest tree on earth). Later visit Minintale.

Day 4

Polonnaruwa & Sigiriya

Built  in the 5th century, Sigiriya rises a sheer 200 metres above a forested plain,  Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982, Sigiriya is Asia’s best preserved city of the first millennium, and has a magnificent palace perched on its Summit. In the afternoon visit the Walled City of Polonnaruwa with its Monasteries, Temples, Bathing Pools & Buddhist Statues all set in a forested Park surrounded by Moats.

Day 5

Kandy & Dambulla

After breakfast proceed to Kandy en-route visiting the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, spice garden and a batik factory. Arrive at hotel in Kandy for lunch. Later in the evening proceed to witness a Kandyan dance and Cultural show and the famous Dalada Maligawa, (Temple of the Tooth).

Kandy is the Hill Capital City and last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings dating back to the 6th Century BC . Encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center, it is the site of the renowned Temple of the Tooth. Kandy and its satellite villages is the centre of the islands handicraft industry and its traditional dances are the most spectacular in the country.

Day 6

Kandy & Pinnawella

After breakfast depart for the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage.
The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage – the best place for an up close and personal experience with the worlds largest land mammals!  Today with 70 elephants herein, Pinnawela has become the home to the largest captive group of elephants in the world.

After lunch, commence a City tour of Kandy visiting the Kandy Market, Kandy upper lake drive, Gem museum, Arts & Crafts Centre.

Day 7

Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and proceed to Nuwara-Eliya

En-route visit a high grown tea plantation / factory. After lunch around 1600 Hrs commence a sight seeing tour of Nuwara-Eliya Evening at leisure.

Overnight at Jetwing St Andrews, Nuwara Eliya (Superior Room). Other hotels available on request.

Nuwara Eliya is a mountain station at 1,868 m (6,128 ft) of altitude, in a splendid landscape. The city is particularly well-kept and neat, and the design of the locality exudes an air of “colonial British style". Nuwara Eliya was built entirely during the 19th century and its architecture mimics that of an English country town, with red-brick walls, country house like hill club and mock-Tudor Mansions

Day 8


After breakfast leave for your resort  via Kitulgala. (Sight of the famous film Bridge on the River Kwai ). Lunch at Kitulgala.
