Laidback beach living comes in spades at the Paradis Plage Surf, Yoga and Spa Resort, as do super cool suites, villas and bungalows that either overlook or open directly onto the ocean. Inside, expect arty photo-canvases and furniture made from reclaimed wood, Moroccan-inspired lampshades and throws, comfortable sofas and a generous terrace, balcony or private garden – depending on your room type.
Being a family-friendly hotel in Agadir, the Villa and Bungalow options are particularly impressive if travelling as a group, thanks to their excessive 1,600sq ft floorplan, multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, lounge and kitchen areas to boot. Away from your personal abode however, this is very much a property that loves both the natural world and open-air adventures alike, with everything from surf lessons to beach volleyball, yoga and personal trainer classes, kayak and boat tours, even camel rides along the bay all available from day to day. And it extends to the wider hotel too, whose owners boast a proud environmentally-friendly ethos, water and waste management systems, locally sourced ingredients only and a range of restaurant menus that do offer the occasional indulgence, but certainly places healthy eating more obviously at their core. This is a lively hotel for sure, though with that fine blend of fun, outright comfort and fashionable interior design rolled into one, the Paradis Plage Resort is also somewhere to really remember once you’ve stayed, seen the best of Morocco’s southwestern coast and returned home feeling fully restored. Locally sourced, organic ingredients go into the menus of Paradis Plage’s four restaurants and bars, as does freshly caught seafood, a focus on healthy eating and no shortage of love too! The Lounge is a super stylish yacht-themed bar/diner overlooking the ocean, all plush daybeds and white linen sofas, while The 27 feels a little more sophisticated with its refined Mediterranean menu and expert sommelier. With multiple al fresco terraces and both food and drinks then served in the Surf House, refreshment is never far away at Paradis Plage and it is often best enjoyed outside, under the stars, or just as the sun begins to set.
