Kasbah Tamadot

Evoking the mystery and exoticness of Morocco, it’s all too easy to fall in love with Kasbah Tamadot. Extensive grounds filled with courtyards, fruit trees and an outdoor heated swimming pool, are surrounded on all sides by the stunning peaks of the Atlas Mountains – be sure to bring warmer clothes in the winter months, as the air does get chilly. A splendid, boutique retreat, public spaces, rooms and suites scattered about to ensure a high degree of privacy are partly furnished by the tables, sculptures and ornaments collected by the property’s original owner – our favourite accommodations are the Berber Tents with private hot tub! While the atmosphere is one of intimacy, children are welcomed and can take part in a selection of activities from mule rides and cooking classes to pool parties at selected times throughout the year. And although there are no TVs in the rooms, you’ll find plenty to do whether it’s dining on freshly baked flat breads and aromatic tagines in the restaurant, heading out on a cultural excursion of sitting down to watch Casablanca during a cinema night in the summer.
