Tucked away in the enormous ochre boulders of Damaraland, Mowani Mountain Camp offers the ultimate mountain getaway with undisturbed views of the wild plains and sparse desert scenery
Mowani Mountain Camp is absorbed into the landscape, making it one with the shared history of life in the ancient land. Relax in an open-air bath with a view of the plains and enjoy game drives along dry river beds. Rare, desert dwelling elephants, springbok, gemsbok and jackal roam these plains, while their images are found etched in the rocks at Twyfelfontein.

About Mowani Mountain Camp
Mowani Mountain Camp’s thatched dome structures blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. A small number of suites are tucked into the folds and edges of the rocks and offer private decks where you can simply relax and enjoy the view. Spend your days soaking up the Namibian sunshine around the swimming pool or jump on a game drive in an open-air vehicle with Mowani's local guides and search for signs of life along dry riverbeds.
Keep an eye out for rare desert elephants, springbok, gemsbok and jackal and learn about the geology, botany and wildlife of the area with interesting facts gathered from the locals through generations. Other activities include a visit to Twyfelfontein, Namibia’s first World Heritage Site, to see ancient rock engravings and the Organ Pipes, elephant and dune drives, as well as nature walks in the surrounding area.
