Looking to getaway this summer? We’re here to help our customers navigate the UK Government’s Traffic Light System with our round up of ‘amber list’ holiday destinations.
Currently when travelling to a country on the amber list you do not need to quarantine on return to the UK providing you have received both doses of an NHS vaccine 14 days prior to your departure from the UK. You will still be required to take a PCR test on day 2 after arriving back into the UK. Children aged 5 to 10 will only need to do a day 2 PCR and 11 to 18 year olds will need to take both a pre-departure test and a day 2 PCR – as is the case for arrivals from green list countries.
Not double vaccinated? Then for now you will need to quarantine at home for 10 days on return to the UK, plus take a pre-departure test prior to boarding your return flight and additional PCR tests on day 2 & day 8 after arriving back into the UK. You also have the option of ‘Test to Release’ taking a PCR test on day 5 and ending your quarantine early if the results are negative.
It's important to note that each of these countries may have their own entry requirements which all visitors will need to adhere to. You can find out more information by clicking the travel advice link found on the destination page, or by calling our Travel Experts who are on hand to help.
