Day 1 to 3 (Arrival and overnight in Las Vegas)

While you're in town catch a breathtaking Cirque du Soleil show, head to Freemont St to get a taste of old Vegas and pay a visit to the intriguing Mob Museum.

One of the wonders of the natural world, a visit to the Grand Canyon is the highlight of any fly drive holiday to this region. At 277 miles long and, in places, a mile deep, the Grand Canyon needs to be seen over a couple of days to appreciate its magnitude. Today, arrive in time to make the short walk to the rim and marvel at the evening colours as the setting sun appears to set fire to the canyon walls. There are so many ways to discover the canyon and each yields a different perspective. The hardy can enjoy a hike along Bright Angel Trail, taking care in the desert heat.
