Holidays to Marrakech

Marrakesh is a Mecca of colourful bazaars, festivals and iconic sites, with a fine selection of enchanting luxury hotels also part of its enviable list of attractions. To wander through the busy streets – passing gorgeous buildings, snake charmers, incense sellers and spice markets – is an experience in itself. Put on your ‘must see list’ the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque, the pristine mosaic tiles and courtyard of Bahia Palace, Ali ben Youssef Quranic School (with its impossibly decorative facades and columns) and the famous Djemaa el-Fna, once a public square used for gruesome executions though now a welcoming centre of ad-hoc performances, the telling of ancient tales and babble of bartering traders. On top of all this, the ancient cities of Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou can be visited on a day trip through the surrounding Atlas Mountains, or just relish some time out in the orchards of El Badi Palace and Menara Botanical Gardens. Throw yourself into the deep end or take a moment to relax, as you marvel your way through the one and only Marrakesh.
