Purpose-built for gorilla tracking adventures in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, this lodge is just steps from the entrance to the only park in the world home to both chimpanzee and mountain gorilla.
Bwindi Lodge overlooks a 25,000 year old rainforest, one of the most biologically diverse on the planet, home to 120 species of mammals and 350 species of birds. This authentic eco-lodge is all thatch, timber and stone and uses solar power and bucket showers to minimise its effect on the environment. But it’s not all rustic – all guests enjoy the convenience of personal butler service and complimentary laundry and shoe shine services.
The eight cottages are all named after Bwindi’s gorillas and feature Ugandan hand-carved four poster beds. They also have a spacious living area and en-suite bathroom with stone showers and his and hers vanities. The private terrace overlooks the forest.
