Designed to blend in with its surrounds, Mahogany Springs was built using local materials and minimalist décor. The lodge is made up of just eight luxury suites with en-suite bathrooms and private elevated terraces and extraordinary views of the mountains. The main lodge offers impressive views of its own from a large wrap-around terrace where breakfast can be enjoyed as the sun rises through the mist. The most popular attraction of the park is the opportunity to track rare mountain gorillas through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest but it also offers spectacular bird watching opportunities – over 100 species of birds can be spotted in just one day, including the yellow-eyed black fly-catcher and 90% of the Albertine Rift endemic species.
