All tourists arriving into Zanzibar will now be required to purchase a mandatory Personal Travel Insurance as advised by the Zanzibar Government

Local Infastructure Tax

There will be an infrastructure tax payable of $USD5 per person per night (including children) which must be settled locally upon check out. This tax is subject to change without notice.

Dress Code

Visitors to Zanzibar are requested to follow a modest dress code when visiting villages and local communities.

If arriving into Mainland Tanzania first Applicable visitors should obtain NIC Inbound Travel Insurance. Visitors travelling to Zanzibar next do not require to purchase the Zanzibar (ZIC) Insurance. Please keep a copy of the NIC insurance certificate available for verification.

If arriving into Zanzibar first Guests who have already obtained valid ZIC Inbound Travel Insurance do not need to purchase the NIC Mainland insurance. Please keep a copy of the ZIC insurance certificate available for verification.
