Quy Nhon and Ninh Van Bay Attractions

Quy Nhon is well-known for its idyllic stretches of coastline and sheltered beaches, of which Ky Co Beach is one of the most beautiful with its rocky shorelines descending into crystal-clear waters. The Long Khanh Pagoda’s origins stretch back to the year 1715, when it was founded by a visiting Chinese merchant and is currently inhabited by Buddhist monks. The pagoda is notable for its mosaic dragons and ornate towers which shelter a massive drum and a huge bell. Ninh Van Bay’s main draws are its pristine and secluded coast with its peaceful coves that make for great snorkelling. The peninsula’s interior is also great for nature lovers.

Quy Nhon and Ninh Van Bay Food and Drink

Given its coastal setting, Quy Nhon is unsurprisingly known for its delicious fresh seafood such as grilled squid, seafood hotpots and a variety of fish dishes. You can also find nuoc mia, a refreshing sugarcane juice, plus other widely available beverages such as coconut water and Vietnamese coffee. Che, meanwhile, is a traditional dessert soup made with beans, coconut milk and jelly. In Ninh Van Bay, you will also find a plethora of seafood dishes along with staples of Vietnamese cuisine like pho, Vietnamese coffee and bahn mi sandwiches. Ninh Van Bay’s scattering of luxury resort showcase authentic Vietnamese cuisine plus other gastronomies from across the globe, prepared using fresh local ingredients.

Quy Nhon and Ninh Van Bay Activities

In both Quy Nhon and Ninh Van Bay, the crystalline waters of the South China Sea are the main attraction. Along with a host of water sports, travellers can also discover the wonders of the ocean beneath the surface during revealing snorkelling and scuba diving excursions to a number of spectacular dive sites. On land, you might explore local fishing villages to sample freshly caught seafood, admire some local temples. From Quy Nhon, you can visit beautiful Ky Co Beach as well as Hon Kho Island, the quaint fishing village of Bai Xep and the intricately designed Thap Doi towers, typical examples of ancient Cham Hindu architecture.
