What to do in Niagara Falls? The number one activity on our list – and we think it should top yours, too – is a cruise to get up close to the thundering falls. On the Canadian side you’ll take the Hornblower, while the Maid of the Mist departs from the New York State side – either way, waterproofs at the ready! You can also descent 70 metres and stroll along the boardwalks on a guided tour, with a chance for a closer look at the rapids.

Niagara Falls Food & Drink

In the city of Niagara Falls itself, you’ll find a number of chain restaurants catering to the tourist market – think TGIF and fast-food outlets. For a less touristy dining experience, we suggest driving to Niagara-on-the-Falls – be sure to taste the famous ice wine made from frozen grapes (and very sweet)! If you want a view with your meal, head to Sheraton on the Falls for a cocktail or to the revolving dining room at the Skylon Tower.

Stick around Niagara Falls after sunset and you’ll be treated to a completely different kind of attraction!
