Airports & International Connections
The Dominican Republic has seven international airports with scheduled flights.
Major international airports include:
• Punta Cana International (PUJ / MDPC) — the main gateway for the Punta Cana / Bávaro / Cap Cana resort region
• Las Américas International (SDQ / MDSD) — serves Santo Domingo and is a major hub.
• La Romana (LRM / MDLR)
Flights from the UK / Europe
There are direct (nonstop) flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Punta Cana (PUJ), operated by British Airways. The flight time is about 9 hours 20–25 minutes
London Heathrow (LHR) currently has no nonstop flights to Punta Cana — routes from Heathrow involve at least one stop.
Other UK airports may offer flights with one or more stops via European or North American hubs (e.g. via Madrid, Amsterdam, New York, etc.).
Airlines that commonly operate routes (direct or with connections) on London ↔ Punta Cana include British Airways, Air Transat, JetBlue, American Airlines, Air Canada, Air Europa, etc.
