Airports & Major Entry Points
Jamaica has several international airports, but the two most relevant for tourists are:
• Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay — the main gateway for beach / resort travel on the north coast.
• Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) in Kingston — serves the capital and eastern side of the island. This would be a suitable option for hotels that are in Ocho Rios.
Montego Bay is by far the more common arrival point for beach holidays, as many resorts are closer to it.
Flights from the UK / Airlines & Routes
Virgin Atlantic operates direct / non-stop flights from London Heathrow (LHR) to Montego Bay (MBJ). The flight time for the direct LHR → MBJ route is around 10h 05m.
Other UK airports (e.g. Gatwick, Manchester) also offer seasonal or charter direct flights; TUI Airways is one operator for UK-Jamaica direct routes.
British Airways also operates direct/no stop flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Kingston (KIN).
