St Vincent has absorbed many culinary influences over the centuries and resorts and hotels serve international cuisine with opportunities to try local favourites. The staple foods include breadfruit and rice, and plantains often make up a side dish or are used as an ingredient in a main course. Fish, especially jack fish, are a major food source. Rum is a popular tipple and you could try out sea moss drink made of sea moss, limes, milk, water and spices.
