The Mandarin Oriental Tokyo: five-star luxury and unforgettable views in the heart of Japan’s capital.

Situated in the glamorous Nihonbashi District of central Tokyo, the Mandarin Oriental is nearly without comparison. Stunning cityscape vistas can be enjoyed from either your luxurious suite, one of the hotel’s indoor infinity pools, restaurants or even the sauna, meaning that the bright lights of the capital are never far away - even while enjoying the absolute opulence of this world-class hotel.

About Mandarin Oriental Tokyo

A reputation for impeccable service, perfect locations and five-star excellence goes hand-in-hand with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, with this central Tokyo hotel surely ranking amongst their finest creations. The decor scheme and general interior design is almost impossible to adequately describe, given that it ranges from ancient Asian woodcarvings to space-age minimalist, floor-to-ceiling windows edging rooms inspired by traditional Japanese tea houses, and just about everything in between. This range of styles and spaces is - in large part - down to the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo’s sheer size and scale as, being a skyscraper in its own right, there is plenty of room for huge suites, a sprawling spa, large gym, a dozen restaurants, lounge areas, bars and more. All of this, within a few short steps of the city’s finest eateries, best shopping and top cultural highlights, added to the seasoned prestige of this well-known hotel group, puts the Mandarin Oriental in a league of its own.

    Dining

The wining and dining haunts at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo are astounding in their gourmet offerings, with many a Michelin star – and stellar view – among them. Go for French cuisine at Signature, Italian delicacies at K’shiki, Cantonese delights at Sense, or Mediterranean fare at Ventaglio; there’s even a pizza bar at the hotel, too. Naturally, Mandarin Oriental Tokyo has its own reputable sushi bar, but on top of all this, the cream of the crop is surely the Tapas Molecular Bar, where cutting-edge cooking occurs before your eyes. There are only eight seats at the table, for extraordinary meals taking place at set times each evening, whereby diners are treated to a sensory feast of molecular cuisine which might include dragon fumes and magic beans, among the 20 mini-courses served over two tantalising hours; a culinary experience you won’t soon forget.
