Japamala Tioman Island is unique in the way it arranges its accommodation throughout the natural surroundings.
Japamala Tioman Island has been built within the trees so that you can experience the spectacular surroundings of the Island and enjoy the wildlife in its natural habitat. Sarang (which is nest in Malay) is the name given to this accommodation which offers you all the home comforts you would expect but within a unique design.

Situated on the hillside on a split level design with private plunge pool.
Jungle Luxe Sarang
Situated within the lower trees and foliage each with an open air bath positioned for privacy.
Sea Cliff Chalet
Situated on the hillside and cliffs directly above the lagoon each has a balcony with daybed and views of the sea.
Tree Top Chalet
Situated just beyond the beach up in the canopy where you will hear nature at its best crickets, birds and wild animals foraging at night.

About Japamala Resort
Japamala Tioman Island is unique in the way it arranges its accommodation throughout the natural surroundings, each set of rooms has been individually built within the environmental needs of the Island so that you and nature area as one. Each room comes with a unique layout some with sundecks and plunge pools. The Sarang's are positioned amongst the lower trees with chalets up high in the canopy as well as on cliff line. Each one has been positioned for privacy. There are two ways to reach the Island 45 miles away one is by boa, the Japamala has a shared mini bus service that takes you from Kuala Lumpa International airport to Mersing where you can board the resorts private speed boat for the journey. If preferred there is a ferry that will take you to the nearest village where you will be transferred to the resort (prior booking is needed for transfer), alternatively there are daily chartered flights from Kuala Lumpa Airport.
