However, if you do like to be more active on holiday there is plenty to do in the Maldives. Jet and water skiing is very popular and there are numerous excellent dive and snorkelling sites. Many of the Maldives' resorts offer fusion cuisine, heavily influenced by the food of the Indian subcontinent. Alcohol is not readily available but the resorts will serve it.
