Taj Bentota Resort & Spa is a luxurious beach resort hotel, which sits on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka along the golden mile beach at Bentota overlooking the Indian Ocean. This luxury hotel features colonial architecture with red tiled roofs and offers 160 rooms and suites each with large bay windows leading to a balcony or terrace with views of the sea or beautiful landscaped gardens. There are four restaurants each serving Sri Lankan, international and Indian cuisine, as well as seafood, Chinese and Continental fine dining. **IMPORTANT RENOVATION NOTICE**

Renovation work at Taj Bentota Resort & Spa will start Phase 3 enhancement works. Work will be carried out from 15 May to 15 September 2026*.

Renovation Scope & Timeline

Renovation Period: 15 May – 15 September 2026*

Renovation Areas: Block A and Block D

Work will involve complete room renovations, including floor tiling, fittings, and furniture installation.

Working Hours: Daily (all days of the week), 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Note: Power tools will be used during the above time window.

There will be screening and visual barricades around all work zones to attempt to minimise noise and dust as far as practicable

Resort Facilities & Services:

All key guest facilities will remain fully operational.

Passport & Visa Information:

With Immediate effect for all arrivals into Sri Lanka :

Tourist visas are required for British Citizens travelling to Sri Lanka- We recommend you do this online prior to arrival www.eta.gov.lk.

Visa fee is USD 50 per person. For Summer 2026 the Visa cost has been waivered and it will be £0. Even though it will be FREE this summer, you must still apply and obtain the Visa.

All tourists arriving to Sri Lanka can fill the Arrival Card (immigration) online through www.immigration.gov.lk

Please be advised that all passengers will be required to complete a Health Declaration Form upon arrival
