Arrive in Bangkok

Once you arrive in Bangkok’s international airport, you’ll receive a warm traditional welcome from a local representative before being taken for a brief orientation tour of the Thai capital.

Sprawling across both banks of the meandering Chao Praya River, Bangkok is amongst the most intoxicating cities in Southeast Asia, revered across the globe for its vibrant nightlife, ornate temples, opulent Grand Palace and sumptuous street food. During your introductory tour, you’ll catch a glimpse of this distinct metropolis’ frenetic streets and authentic culture, its buzz and brilliance.

After your orientation tour, your driver-guide will transfer you to your hotel for check-in, where you’ll spend the rest of the day at leisure.

At Leisure or Choice of Optional Activities

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel before spending the rest of the day at leisure.

Take some time to experience your stunning hotel’s luxurious facilities and charming riverfront location, opt to head into Bangkok to explore at your own pace, or choose from a selection of optional tours showcasing the local culture and scenes:

Hacker-Craft Charter Boat Exclusive Experience Along The Chao Phraya River (17:30–18:30)

One of the most enchanting ways to explore Bangkok is by private boat. Step aboard a Hacker-Craft – a custom-built motorboat - and sail down the flowing waters of the Chao Praya River, taking in the illuminated cityscape and attractions that line both banks of the river.

Private Visit to the Grand Palace & Wat Pho (08:00-12:00 or 13:00-17:00)

Begin this privately guided tour with a visit to Bangkok’s glittering Grand Palace, whose grandeur and majesty can be glimpsed in its gilded throne halls. Admire the mysterious Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image across Thailand, and learn about the palace’s royal heritage – it has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam (later Thailand) since 1782.

Then, you’ll travel to Wat Pho, which houses a colossal reclining Buddha statue and a traditional massage school. The temple’s serene garden contains a Bodhi tree grown from a cutting of an original tree in India which the Lord Buddha is believed to have sat while awaiting his enlightenment.

Blue Elephant Cooking Class (08:45-13:00 or 13:30-16:30)

The Blue Elephant Cooking School operates from an elegant, century-old mansion within whose historical walls you can discover the culinary wonders of Royal Thai Cuisine during an interactive cooking class. The experienced chefs will lead you through which authentic ingredients are used across a variety of sumptuous, aromatic dishes, before guiding you through the process of creating your own traditional dish.

The My Elephant & I experience allows you to step into the world of these majestic animals and uncover the mysteries of their gentle nature through educational interactions with them in their natural habitat. This intimate experience allows you to forge a unique connection with an elephant and gain profound, firsthand insights into their lives.

You may also choose between a Wang Lao Hike or a Hillside Bicycle Tour activity. The former involves a two-hour hike after a short ride to Wang Lao. You’ll walk through the village, observing the locals’ traditional way of life and discovering northern hill architecture. A brief hike through jungle terrain will take you past lush, terraced rice fields and verdant pineapple plantations, ending with panoramic views of the Golden Triangle below.
