At this time the border with Thailand remains closed to UK and international Travellers.
Phuket will open to international travellers from July 2021. Entry requirements are confirmed by the Thai authorities:-
1) Clients who are fully vaccinated (2 Jabs) will NOT be required to quarantine as of 01 July 21 (Phuket ONLY): they are free to enter Phuket as long as they have received a Certificate of Entry which must be applied for at the Thai embassy in the originating country (UK) and hold a Covid Certificate to prove vaccination. Upon entry they are able to stay and travel anywhere on the island of Phuket. A minimum of 7 nights on the Island is required before they will be allowed to travel to other locations within Thailand. Customers MUST also be in possession of a Negative PCR test to enter Thailand no older than 72 hours, they must hold valid insurance that includes cover for Covid19. They must down load the Thai tracking app called ThailandPlus available via the Google and Apple stores. They must also have a Negative PCR test no older than 72 hours to be able to return to the UK
2) Clients without a vaccine or proof of vaccination (2 Jabs) are required to quarantine in one of the assigned ASQ Government hotels for 10 nights (down from 14 ) before being able to leave the hotel premises and travel elsewhere in Thailand. The ASQ hotel is not the holiday hotel booked. This must be purchase in addition to such a stay and in advance from the UK Thai London Embassy along with their Certificate of Entry to Thailand, Travel insurances and required entry Negative PCR test with another no older than 72 Hours for return to the UK.
This Phuket model (and all its requirements) will be extended to 5 other provinces as of 1 October 21-these being Krabi, Phanga (Khao Lak), Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Chonburi(Pattaya)
At this time all arrivals to the UK from any destination must be in possession of a Negative PCR test no more than 72 hours before return to the UK. All must isolate at home for 10 days and undertake 2 further Covid 19 tests on days 2 & 8 of the isolation period.
All arrivals from RED list countries must be in possession of a Negative PCR test no more than 72 hours before return to the UK. On arrival to the UK they will be taken to a hotel near the airport to isolate for 10 days. Hotel rooms must be pre-booked and cost is borne by the customer, Approx £1750pp for the duration of isolation. Additional costs may be incurred should isolation need to be extended.
Thailand is not a RED list Country.
