Whether you want to relax or explore, the Koh Yao islands are the ideal destination for a luxury holiday. The main season is from November to February, with the climate slightly cooler than from April to May, when temperatures are at their highest. During June to October the weather is still sunny, but the area tends to get more rain. If you want to experience a typical Thai celebration then there are plenty of festivals throughout the year to enjoy. The traditional Songkran New Year festivities take place across the country in April, whereas December sees the Celebration of the King.
