The Blue Jasmine: A Timeless Rail Journey Through Thailand

Your journey aboard the historic Blue Jasmine begins at Hua Lamphong Station, a historic landmark and the heart of Thailand’s railway network for over 100 years. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a warm welcome and refreshments as you prepare to board this beautifully restored train. As the Blue Jasmine chugs and rumbles out of the station and leaves behind the sprawling metropolis of Bangkok, you can glimpse picturesque scenery and snippets of authentic Thai life. The train will journey towards the ancient city of Ayutthaya, the powerful Siamese capital between 1351 and 1767. Once a major global trading hub famous for its wealth and extravagance, it was sacked by the Burmese, abandoned and now hailed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site housing the remnants of temples, palaces and statues.

You’ll stop in Ayutthaya for a delicious lunch at a charming venue surrounded by a serene lotus pond and lush gardens. Then, ride on one of Thailand’s iconic tuk tuks through the historic area to glimpse some of Ayutthaya’s oldest temples and ruins before returning to the Blue Jasmine to continue the journey towards Uthai Thani and your hotel.
