The tour starts from what is the second and most definitive capital of the area named Plaza de Armas in 1580 and today known as Plaza de Mayo, the historical, political and cultural center of the city. From the Plaza, we start the tour going down Avenida de Mayo, one of the most interesting urban developments of the city with its variety of architectural styles, wide avenues and spacious green areas which balance out the vertiginous rhythm of the city. The tour continues all the way to the neighbourhood of San Telmo, one of the oldest in the city, settled at the end of the 19th century by aristocratic families. Going further south, arrive at the picturesque and colourful port neighbourhood of La Boca, with its famous street “Caminito” whose buildings and customs reflect the influence of European settlers that arrived at its shores during the XIX century.

Evening Tango show and dinner
Free day. In the evening enjoy a typical Tango show and dinner at the Esquina Carlos Gardel. The tango is the music of Buenos Aires. It originated in the 1880 ghettos which were populated by Italian and Spanish immigrants, Africans and gauchos. The tango rose from a mix of Cuban and Spanish rhythms, some polka, and according to some, also a bit of African music. At “Esquina Carlos Gardel” one can enjoy excellent cuisine and an art noveau style of decor which faithfully recreates the sophistication of the most luxurious salons of the time. At midnight return to the hotel.

Full day Wine Tour
Mendoza is home to excellent wineries but also an important industry of olive oil. It’s because of this our tour is designed to share and teach about these two products through important winemakers and olive oil producers located in the zones of Luján de Cuyo and Maipú. The tour begins in the morning, collecting you from your hotels in Mendoza as we head to our first visit, the prestigious winery of Don Manuel Villafañe where we will taste our first wines. From here, we will head to visit a family-owned olive oil factory, Pasrai, for a taste of flavors including olive oils, olive pastes and sundried tomatoes, accompanied by homemade breads. Our next tour and tasting takes place at the winery of Luigi Bosca followed by a picnic.
