This multicentre itinerary takes in three of South America's must-see destinations over the course of nine days.
Start your trip in the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires, home of the tango and a foodie’s paradise. Explore the city during the day then take in a tango show and dinner in the evening. Next up is the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls straddled on the border between Argentina and Brazil. You’ll have time to visit both sides of the falls to appreciate its sheer scale and size. Your trip finishes in the stunning city of Rio de Janeiro, home to one of the 7 wonders of the world; the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Enjoy a full day tour of the city by open-top jeep and take in the sights and sounds of this magical city. Extend your holiday by including Buzios or Paraty for a few extra days of relaxation.Day 1: Arrive Buenos Aires

Day 2: La Boca, La Recoleta and Tango Show
Buenos Aires City Tour and Evening Tango Show
Head off on a guided tour of cosmopolitan Buenos Aires. Stops during the tour include the main square know as Plaza de Mayo, the colourful port neighbourhood of La Boca, the modern and upcoming region of Puerto Madero, the residential neighbourhoods of Palermo and La Recoleta, finishing with a visit to the Recoleta cemetery, the resting place of Eva Peron. In the evening you’ll enjoy dinner and a tango show at Esquina Carlos Gardel. A mixture of Cuban and Spanish rhythms and created in the ghettos in the 1880s, tango is the music of Buenos Aires. Return to the hotel at midnight.

Today you have a free day in Buenos Aires. Perhaps arrange a day trip across the Rio Plata to the charming town of Colonia or head inland and visit a traditional Argentinean estancia.

Day 4: Travel to Iguazu Falls

Private transfer from your hotel in Buenos Aires to the Buenos Aires domestic airport for your flight to the Iguazu Falls. On arrival in Puerto Iguazu you are met taken by private transfer to your hotel.

Free day to visit the Argentinean side of the falls. The national park is only a 20 minute drive away from your hotel and once inside the national park there are many well marked trails making it easy to explore without the need for a guide.

Day 6: Brazilian Falls Excursion, fly to Rio
Brazilian Falls Excursion - Fly to Rio de Janeiro
You are collected from your hotel and then you cross the border into Brazil and onto the Iguazu national park. Once inside the park you explore the boardwalks which lead along the side of the Iguazu River for nearly a kilometre. On this walk it is possible to see San Martin Island and some of the 275 different waterfalls including Bossetti and the three musketeers. At the end of the walk you reach an observation deck giving you a unique and close up view of the Devils throat. At the end of the tour you are taken to the nearby airport for your flight to Rio, where you'll be met upon arrival and taken to your hotel.

Day 7: Tijuca forest, Christ the Redeemer
Rio de Janeiro City Tour
Today enjoy a full day tour of Rio de Janeiro by jeep. Your day starts with a visit to the Tijuca forest, the largest urban forest in the world before continuing onto one of the 7 wonders of the world – the Christ Redeemer. From here enjoy sweeping panoramas of the city and is a must see on a visit to Rio. After lunch continue by jeep to the Sugarloaf Mountain where you take two cable cars up to the top of the mountain for yet more beautiful views of Rio. The excursion finishes with a visit to Rio’s botanic garden.

Day 8: Free day, why not head to Copacabana beach
Rio de Janeiro
Free day in Rio de Janeiro. Perhaps relax on either Ipanema or Copacabana beach or visit the bohemian district of Santa Teresa and ride the renovated tram up and down the cobbled streets and hills.

Departure to the UK
