Day 1 ( Bogata )

Arrive in Bogata

Arrival at the Dorado International Airport in Bogota. Reception and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 ( Bogata )

Bogota - Full day city tour

Breakfast, Your guide will meet you at the hotel to take you on a tour around the historic centre of the city. The first stop will be at Plaza de Bolivar to walk along the streets and take a close look of the most important buildings of the city, such as the National Capitol, which is the centre of the country's legislative life; Casa de los Comuneros; Casa de Nariño, which is the Presidential house; and the Santa Clara Church Museum. The tour includes a visit to the Gold Museum, which exhibits about 34,000 pieces of metalwork from various Hispanic cultures and a visit to the House Museum Quinta de Bolivar, the house belonged to Simon Bolivar. The tour continues to the iconic symbol of Bogota, the Monserrate Hill rising up to 3,152 above sea level, to visit the sanctuary where you will find the statue of the Lord of Miracles. From there it is possible to enjoy the best view of Bogota.
Note: Gold museum and Quinta de Bolivar closed on Mondays, instead we visit Museo de Botero and Museo Casa de la Moneda.

Day 3 ( Bogata )

Bogota - Half day tour to Zipaquira

Breakfast at Hotel, Your guide will meet you at the hotel, either in the morning or the afternoon, to take you on a tour through La Sabana de Bogota to the town of Zipaquira, which name means 'city of our Father' in the language of the Chibcha. Back in pre-Columbian times, salt around the area was the most important commodity and the ‘salt cakes’ were the only currency for trading. Over time, technology improved and the muiscas began to extract larger amounts of salt. As a result, an underground salt deposit was formed and it is where the Salt Cathedral was built, 180 meters below the surface. Inside, there is a chapel, “capilla de los mineros” built as a tribute to the Virgin “Our Lady of the Rosary of Guasá” (Guasá means 'mine' in Chibcha). At the end, return to Bogotá.

Day 5 ( Pereira )

Full day tour of Pereira and Coffee Plantations

A representative from Panamericana Viajes DMC will pick you up at the hotel to take you on your tour by Pereira, the capital of the Risaralda department. We will arrive at the historic center of the city to take a walk along Plaza de Bolivar, where you will find the Cathedral of Our Lady of poverty and the monument of the “naked Bolivar”, developed by the master Rodrigo Arenas Betancourt. Afterwards we will drive along the Circunvalar to the so-called Zona Rosa, and make a stop at Juan Valdez for a cup of coffee. Lunch
Transfer to Caldas, ' Alto de la Paz', looking the beautiful coffee landscape where you can take awesome pictures, up to Hacienda Venecia to 1500 meters over the sea level; one of the areas with a lot of coffee producers in the country. There begins the interactive coffee process, its preparation, toasted, all its quality characteristics and all the attributes that allows that exist a lot of kinds of coffee in the world.

Day 6 ( Pereira )

Full Day tour of the region

Breakfast at Hotel, Transfer to Valle Del Cocora, take in the views and appreciate the beautiful landscape, when you get there, you will have a welcome drink called (Canelazo), after you will go to the wood fog, where you could see the biodiversity of the place, there is developing the palm gloss ritual, and free time to enjoy.
At the agreed time you will be going to the typical town of Salento, where you can take a walk visiting the Plaza de Bolivar with its colourful and typical balconies. art studios and the Cocora view point. Lodging

Half Day City Tour of Cartagena

Breakfast at Hotel. Your Guide will pick you up at the hotel to take you on a tour around Cartagena de Indias. The tour starts at the modern neighbourhoods of Bocagrande and Manga, where you will be able to see the contrast between modern architecture and the beauty of the old houses from the twentieth century. Further ahead, up at the Cerro de la Popa, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the heart of Cartagena as well as the whole city. The historic centre of Cartagena was declared Heritage of the Humanity by UNESCO in 1984. From here, we will go visit the Castle where the Spaniards sought to protect the city from the attacks of the English in the seventeenth century, “el Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas”. It includes entry to Cerro de la Popa, Castillo de San Felipe and Emerald Museum. The tour will end at the hotel.

Full Day Tour to Rosario Island

Breakfast at Hotel. A full day tour. It includes transportation by speedboat for the Rosario Islands, south of the Bay of Cartagena. These islands are considered a National Natural Park. You can enjoy coral beaches and variety of fauna of the reef, ideal for relaxing, swimming and snorkeling. Typical lunch included. Does not include: Departure tax and ticket for the Aquarium.

Visa requirements though do change and as such you must check the latest requirements with the appropriate embassy or consulate and ensure that you have the correct documentation to travel to Brazil. If flying with a US carrier or flying via the US with any airline, you will be required to hold an ESTA under the Visa Waiver Programme - even if you are not stopping in the USA.
