Enjoy a guided city tour of the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires. Salta - Cachi
An early morning start from Salta via the Lerma valley. Today you will pass through some spectacular scenery enroute to the town of Cachi. You will visit the Los Cardones national park, home to giant cacti and beautiful vistas. Once you arrive at Cachi you will admire the colonial architecture with visits to the local museum and church.

Cachi - Cafayate
Today is another day filled with scenic views and you start on the beautiful route 40 which leads to the mountain town of Molinos. Here you stop for a while to explore this picturesque town with its adobe white washed buildings and colonial architecture. Continue along route 40 until you reach the town of Cafayate. Cafayate is set at around 1600m above sea level which is ideal for growing grapes. The region is famous for its torrents wine, and you will enjoy a visit to one of the nearby vineyards with the chance to taste its produce.

Cafayate - Salta
Today you head north back to Salta. On the road you will pass through the Quebrada de las Conchas with stunning rock formations which has been sculpted by wind and water over millions of years of erosion. An important stop on your route back to Salta is the Parador Posta de Las Cabras, here you can enjoy a hot coffee and rich goats cheeses which are produced on site. After here you will travel through the town of La Merced and Cerrilos which is surrounded by tobacco plantations before finally arriving at Salta.

Salta - Purmamarca via Humahuaca
Depart towards Quebrada de Humahuaca which has been declared a World Heritage Site. Here the landscape and the colours of the hills combine with the equally colourful cultures that inhabit the area. You stop at the town of Tilcara to visit the Pucara, an ancient pre-Columbian indigenous fortress which has been partially reconstructed and the Archaeological Museum of the province.The Museum has varied objects of pre-Columbian Inca from Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile. Finally arrive at the town of Humahuaca located 2939 meters above sea level. Humahuaca was founded by natives of the region in the year 1594. It’s noted for its pure colonial architectural profile with adobe houses, narrow cobbled streets and lanterns but mainly for the warmth of its inhabitants. The days concludes with the arrival in the small town of Purmamarca located on the outskirts of the Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of seven colours).

Depart to the city of San Antonio de los Cobres via the Cuesta del Lipan a steep, zig zagging section of route 52 and where condors are often sighted. The city of San Antonio de los Cobres is located at over 4000m above sea level and is an important mining town in the region. The route continues parallel to the tracks of the Train to the Clouds allowing you to observe this impressive feat of engineering. On your way back to Salta you will stop at the ruins of the Santa Rosa de Tastil one of the most important pre-Inca sites in the region

Brazilian side of the Falls excursion - Departure for the UK
Depart from your hotel in Argentina and cross the border into Brazil and onwards to the Iguacu national park in Brazil. At the entrance to the park you transfer onto a bus which takes you to start of the trails. From here the trails lead for almost 1km alongside the edge of the cliffs of the Iguazu giving you amazing views of the falls. The trail finishes at an observation deck giving you a close up view of the Devils Throat from only 150m away. At the end of the excursion you will be transport to Foz do Iguazu airport for your flight back to the UK via Sao Paulo.
