This 10 night trip takes you from the rainforest and volcanoes of central Costa Rica to the relaxing Pacific Coast. After your first night in San Jose, travel to Sarapiqui, stopping off at La Paz Waterfall Gardens en-route. Enjoy a leisurely float down the Sarapiqui River to spot an abundance of wildlife including the 145 species of frog. Afterwards, continue to Arenal and explore the national park. The trip ends in the laidback town of Manuel Antonio where you can enjoy a few days relaxing on the beach or exploring the nearby national park.

Day 1 - Arrival into Central Valley

Day 2 - San José - Sarapiqui

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before taking a private transfer to Sarapiqui, around one hour from San José. Located in the North Eastern region of the country and bordered by Nicaragua in the North, Sarapiqui is a popular tourist destination for adventure seekers.

Stop to visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a private reserve of more than 70 acres featuring five waterfalls, safe hiking trails and animal exhibits (Entrance & lunch included).

Your day is complete with 1 night at Selva Verde Eco Lodge, a fantastic rainforest reserve with over 500 acres of vibrant tropical nature.

Day 3 - Sarapiqui River Safari Tour

Sarapiqui River Safari Tour

Enjoy an early morning guided 3 hour float down the lower Sarapiqui River in rafts, take the stunning views and the abundant fauna with chances to see caimans resting on the bank, a myriad of bird life and howler monkeys screeching from the trees.

In the afternoon, enjoy a nature walk looking for frogs at the hotel. Costa Rica is home to 145 species of frogs.

Day 4 - Arenal

The Arenal Volcano is one of the most iconic sights in Costa Rica, and until recently it was also one of the most active. The surrounding region offers visitors plenty of opportunities for seeing more of Costa Rica's famous wildlife or taking some adventure activities such as stand up paddle boarding.

Day 6 - Arenal Volcano National Park

Breakfast at the hotel before enjoying a visit to Arenal Volcano National Park. The tour will begin with a short walk in the Peninsula Sector of the park, near Lake Arenal. It is an accessible trail that lasts around 1 hour. During the tour, you'll enjoy exceptional views of Arenal Lake and the Tilaran volcanic mountain range. Enjoy fresh tropical fruits before a boat ride along the stunning lake surrounded by rainforst, water birds and the animals that have inhibited the area.

After breakfast, take a private transfer from Arenal to Manuel Antonio.

Manuel Antonio is perfect spot to end a holiday in Costa Rica. The national park has one of the best beaches in the country and is also a haven for wildlife such as sloths, monkeys and deer and a popular spot to view dolphins between August to October.
