Day 1

Arrival in Santiago

Arrival in Santiago where you are met and transferred to your hotel by private transfer. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2

Santiago - Santiago city tour

This entertaining half day tour consists of visiting the main attractions of Santiago, the country’s most important cultural, cosmopolitan and artistic hub. Visit the high points of the city’s civic centre, such as Cerro Santa Lucia (a centrally located historic urban park), the La Moneda Palace (presidential offices) and the traditional Plaza de Armas square, a meeting place for Santiago’s diverse and multicultural expressions. Buildings of historical value can be found in the neighbourhood, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, National Museum of History and Central Post Office.

We later walk through the Parque Forestal, a park running parallel to the Mapocho river and visit the nearby Museo de Bellas Artes (National Museum of Fine Arts) before continuing on to Barrio Bellavista, Santiago’s bohemian neighbourhood, with some of the best bars and restaurants in the city. Return to hotel.

Day 3

Santiago

Today is a free day in Santiago. Perhaps take a day trip to one of the many vineyards which are close to Santiago. Chile is one of the biggest producers of wine in South America and the region close to Santiago is home to many of the wineries. It is also possible to spend a night or two at several of the vineyards.

Day 4

Santiago - Torres del Paine

Private transfer to the airport in Santiago for your flight to Punta Arenas in the south of Chile. Once you arrive in Punta Arenas you are met and taken by shared transfer to your hotel in Torres del Paine national park. This road transfer takes around 4-5 hours.

During your stay at the hotel Las Torres all meals and excursions are included in the price. Once you arrive at the hotel your guide will discuss which excursions you would like to take over the coming days.

Day 5

Torres del Paine excursions

This is the best way to explore the National Park by visiting its most famous highlights on a beautiful walk surrounded by flora and fauna and the marvellous mountains of the Paine Massif. After enjoying a lunch outdoors we will take you to Lago Grey where you will have the option to take a walk around the lake shore or take the navigation and get close to the Grey Glacier.

Day 6

Torres del Paine excursions

Sample excursion:

You will get to Pudeto by vehicle. Here you will board the “Hielos Patagónicos” ferry and cross the Pehoe Lake. After a 30 minute navigation you will start the trek towards the French Valley, which is surrounded by lakes, rivers and streams, and a wonderful view of the Paine massif. Once you get to the foot of Monte Paine Grande you will be able to rest in front of the French Glacier - spot where you can witness impressive avalanches that often occur.

Day 7

Torres del Paine - El Calafate

Shared transfer across the border from Chile to Argentina.Once you arrive into El Calafate you will dropped at your hotel where you will spend the next 3 nights.

Day 8

El Calafate - Perito Moreno Glacier excursion

Departure from the hotel towards Perito Moreno Glacier located in The Glaciers National Park. The Perito Moreno Glacier is an imposing iced river covering an area of 1257 km2; it is 30 km long and has a front which is 5 km wide. The front walls are between 30 and 60 meters high above the level of the lake. Thanks to its breathtaking beauty it was declared a mankind heritage site by UNESCO. A walk along the paths in front of its western wall allows us to admire this impressive natural wonder from different viewpoints. Afterwards enjoy some free time before admiring the glacier by boat. This one hour tour allows you to get up close to the wall of the glacier and see it from this unique angle. Return to your hotel.

Day 9

El Calafate

Free day in El Calafate. A popular day trip is to visit nearby Estancia Cristina. Start your journey by catching a boat across Lago Argentino before transferring to the Estancia. After a visit to the Estancia continue to a look-out point by 4x4 where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Upsala glacier and the surrounding area.

El Calafate - Buenos Aires

Private transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. On arrival into Buenos Aires you are met and taken to your hotel.

Day 11

Buenos Aires - Buenos Aires city tour and Tango show and dinner

After breakfast, you will meet your guide for a fascinating tour of the elegant turn-of-the-century districts that gave Buenos Aires the reputation of the "Paris of South America". Discover the charming cobbled alleyways and colonial architecture of San Telmo, the colourful Boca district, the Plaza de Mayo, the imposing grandeur of the Palace of Congress and finish at the Recoleta Cemetery. In the evening you will be taken to a superb restaurant to enjoy a typical Argentine dinner, before settling down for a tango show.

Day 12

Buenos Aires - Tigre delta excursion

Depart from the hotel to the northern side of the city, passing by residential areas and in front of the Quinta Presidential de Olivos, the official residence of the President of Argentina. The tour continues to El Tigre, a charming area located at the mouth of the Parana River Delta. The area was first colonised in 1580, but it wasn’t until the end of the 19th century when it became the preferred recreation area of Buenos Aires upper class. A regular boat-ride through the Delta allows you to see the old mansions that contrast with today’s wooden houses built on stilts. You will also see some of the yacht and rowing clubs and learn about the typical traits of a community closely linked to the river. At the end of the tour, start heading back to the hotel.
