Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park

Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park

Depart Arusha at 1400 hours and pass through the Masai Steppe which is filled with picturesque African villages. At the town of Makuyuni you turn North West and continue the journey up through a scenic escarpment that brings you to your lodge, perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with stunning views over the distant Lake Manyara.

Day 2: Lake Manyara and Serengeti game drives

Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast there is a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park that returns to the lodge for lunch. Leaving Lake Manyara behind, the journey continues North West into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

From here lie the vast plains of the Serengeti, where you hopefully start spotting game well before you get into the park. Continue with game drive en route to the lodge arriving for dinner.

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you depart with game viewing en route as you drive south to the exit gate of Serengeti and continue to Ngorongoro. Stop en route for a picnic lunch. You then continue towards Ngorongoro where you visit a Masaai Village before your final journey to your lodge, set high on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 4: Serengeti game drive and Masaai village

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater game drives

Ngorongoro Crater

A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the World’s largest wildlife zoo. After breakfast, you descend with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. A picnic lunch is served overlooking a small lake populated with hippos. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park game drive

Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire National Park

Departing Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast and head south east en route to Lake Manyara and Tarangire. Through the highlands and the Karatu you’ll view the scenic wheat plains and coffee plantations here before journeying down the spectacular escarpment where you turn south.

From here to the lodge, you enjoy a game drive en route. After lunch the remainder of the afternoon will be spent on a game drive within the park.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park game drive

Day 7: Travel to Zanzibar

Tarangire National Park – Arusha - Zanzibar

Depart after breakfast and head north east to Arusha arriving by Midday in time for lunch. You will be transferred to Arusha (or Kilimanjaro) airport for your scheduled Zanair flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, meet and greet followed by transfer to your hotel in Stone Town.
