Discover the sights of Brazil from Christ the Redeemer in Rio to the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls.

This nine night tour ofBrazil showcases the country’s most famous sights. Start in Rio de Janeiro, soaking up the sunshine on the famous Copacabana Beach, ride the cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain and visit the iconic Christ the Redeemer. Spend time at Iguazu Falls, seeing these magnificent waterfalls from both the Brazilian and Argentine sides, before making your way to the colonial town of Paraty. End your itinerary sailing on a schooner around the islands in the bay of Paraty, sunbathing and snorkelling.

Day 1 ( Arrival into Rio de Janeiro )

On Arrival at Rio de Janeiro airport and be transferred to your hotel. Remainder of your day will be at leisure. Rio de Janeiro (River of January), commonly referred to simply as Rio, is the capital city of the State of Rio de Janeiro, the second largest city of Brazil and the third largest metropolitan area and agglomeration in South America and the main tourist destination in the Southern Hemisphere. Rio de Janeiro is famous for its natural settings, its carnival celebrations, samba, Bossa Nova and hotel-lined tourist beaches, such as Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon. Some of the most famous landmarks in addition to the beaches include the giant statue of Christ, known as Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado mountain, named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World; Sugarloaf mountain with its cable car; the Sambródromo, a giant permanent parade avenue lined with grandstands which is used during Carnival.

Day 2 ( Rio )

Sugarloaf mountain excursion

This morning you are free to enjoy the marvelous beaches.

In the afternoon, take a Sugarloaf Mountain and City tour - we will go to downtown Rio, passing by the principal points of interest, including the Cathedral, in the heart of this enchanting city. The tour then continues to the foot of the Sugar Loaf - Praia Vermelha area - where you are taken by cable-car to the mountain-top (ticket is included). Once there, you will enjoy the magnificent view as the sun sets over Copacabana Beach, before returning back to your hotel.

Day 3 ( Rio )

Morning Corcovado & Tijuca Forest Tour

In the morning, head out on the Corcovado and Tijuca Forest tour - after being picked from your hotel, the tour will continue to the Cosme Velhon for a journey through the dense Atlantic Rain Forest of Tijuca, to the Christ Statue on Corcovado mountain. The guide will show you the wonderful sights of Rio. The tour continues to São Conrado and Pepino beaches where the hang gliders land and by noon, you are back at the hotel.

Day 4 ( Rio - Iguazu Falls )

Flight to Iguazu Falls

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Rio Airport in time for your flight to Foz do Iguassu. Upon arrival into Foz, you will then be transferred to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5 ( Iguazu Falls )

Half day tour to the Argentinean side of Iguazu

Departure from hotel, cross the border and the Tancredo Neves Bridge over the Iguassu River, which forms the border between Argentina and Brazil. To visit the Devil's Gorge we will take a electric train for a visit through the park with 2 stops until the trail where the walking tour begins to the visit the upper walkways which allows a different and more intimate contact with the falls and the rainforest. The highlight of the trip is a visit to the suspended platform at the very brink of the abysmal Devil's Gorge largest of the waterfalls. Return by train to visit the upper Argentinean falls. If weather and time allows, a brief stop at the 3 Borders point, where Paraná and Iguassu Rivers as well as the borders or Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay encounter. Evening at leisure.

Day 6 (Iguazu - Rio - Paraty )

Flight back to Rio and then transfer to Paraty

Private transfer to Foz do Iguazu airport for your flight to Rio. On arrival in Rio you are met and taken by road to the colonial town of Paraty.

Day 7 ( Paraty )

Schooner tour

The schooner sails to several of the most beautiful beaches and islands in the bay of Paraty, all surrounded by dense rainforest. After sailing for roughly forty minutes the schooner will make three stops of around one hour at each for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkelling. Although the exact locations tend to vary with each tour, depending on weather conditions and to avoid the crowds, the islands included are: Comprida, Algodão, Cotia, Praia Vermelha and also the beaches of Lulas, Saco da Velha amongst many others.

Day 8 ( Paraty )

Day at Leisure

Free day in Paraty to explore the picturesque town or to further explore the surrounding area and beaches.

Visas - British Passport holders do not require a Visa to enter Brazil. Visa requirements though do change and as such you must check the latest requirements with the appropriate embassy or consulate and ensure that you have the correct documentation to travel to Brazil.

If flying with a US carrier or flying via the US with any airline, you will be required to hold an ESTA under the Visa Waiver Programme - even if you are not stopping in the USA. This will be your responsibility to obtain.
