Day 1: Arrival

Calgary Arrival & Transfer to Banff

Arriving at Calgary’s international airport, you'll board your transfer to the idyllic parkland town of Banff, located within Canada's spectacular Rocky Mountain wilderness.

Once in Banff, check into your hotel and take the rest of the day to explore the many unique shops, eateries and attractions around town.

At Leisure

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Banff, one of Canada's most famous mountain resort towns.

Aside from wandering Banff's picturesque streets, you might choose to arrange a wildlife tour for the chance to glimpse some of Canada's iconic species in the wild, such as moose, elk and grizzly bears. You could also hike along the myriad trails which begin in the town and take you into the surrounding wilderness.

Day 3: Banff to Jasper

Banff to Jasper with Columbia Icefield Excursion

Depart on a full-day sightseeing transfer to Jasper including a stop at the incredible Columbia Icefield along the famous Icefields Parkway.

The enormous Columbia Glacier covers nearly 325 square kilometres and dominates the surrounding landscape. An Ice Explorer ride will take you onto the ancient Athabasca Glacier and is followed up by a walk on the Glacier SkyWalk – a glass-floored platform extending 30 metres out over the Sunwapta Canyon.

Afterwards, you'll continue on to arrive in Jasper late in the afternoon.

Spend the day at leisure and acquaint yourself with the charming alpine town of Jasper.

Should you wish, you can arrange for an exhilarating rafting trip down the Athabasca River or climb onto a motorcycle sidecar for a unique touring experience along Jasper National Park's scenic roads.

The jaw-droppingly beautiful wilderness of Jasper National Park sits amid the snow-capped Canadian Rockies and is fed by glacier lakes, blanketed with forest and woven with glistening rivers.

Day 5: Rocky Mountaineer - Jasper to Kamloops

Rocky Mountaineer: Jasper to Kamloops

After a shuttle transfer to the Jasper train station (provided by Rocky Mountaineer), you'll board the Rocky Mountaineer train for a spectacular rail excursion from Jasper to Kamloops.

This unique daylight rail journey allows you to view some of the most spectacular scenery in Western Canada. By late afternoon, you'll be in the arid ranchland of interior British Columbia, where you'll disembark for the night in the quiet city of Kamloops.

Day 5: Rocky Mountaineer - Jasper to Kamloops

Rocky Mountaineer: Kamloops to Vancouver

Embark on the final leg of your immersive rail journey throught the Canadian wilderness aboard the Rocky Mountaineer.

The train will take you through Canada's "Cowboy Country" ranchlands, where lush green pastures and prairies are grazed on by vast herds of cattle, the gushing waters of the Fraser and Thompson Rivers cutting through the landscape.

This is Canada's true pioneer territory, and as you travel you can listen to the history and legends of the West while enjoying the comforts of luxury train travel. The last stretch of the journey will take you through verdant farmlands and past historic towns into Vancouver, where you will disembark.

Day 6: Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops to Vancouver

Victoria Excursion

Enjoy a full-day excursion to Victoria, which begins with a cruise through the picturesque Gulf Islands and includes a visit to the beautiful Butchart Gardens.

Following this, you'll continue to Victoria for a city sightseeing tour that encompasses Victoria's elaborate stately homes and historic landmarks. You'll visit the University of Victoria and Beacon Hill Park, and pass the Royal British Columbia Museum, Thunderbird Park and the Parliament Buildings.

In the early evening, you'll return to Vancouver.

Check out of your hotel and transfer individually to the Vancouver cruise terminal, where you will board Holland America Line’s cruise ship, the MS Zaandam, and be welcomed by the crew.

Cruise into the port of Ketchikan, which is set along the shores of the Tongass Narrows, unique for its many shops and houses built suspended above the water.

Known as the Salmon Capital of the World, this lively town also is home to Creek Street, the Tongass Historical Museum, Totem Bight State Park and the Saxman Village.

Ketchikan is also known for the many Native American totem poles which can be seen throughout the town.
