Spend eight days touring Jordan and taking in its incredible sites.

Being your trip with a short stop in Amman before travelling a biblical highway, stopping to take in incredible views of the Holy Land. Spend a full day marvelling at the ancient city of Petra, go snorkelling in the Red Sea and float in the waters of the Dead Sea. Bump over the dunes of Wadi Rum (and sleep in a Bedouin camp) and explore Roman ruins at Jerash before ending up back in Jordan’s capital.

Day 1 - Arrive Amman

Arrival into Amman

Start this eight day adventure through Jordan by touching down into Amman’s International Airport. You’ll be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel to check and settle in following your flight. Spend the rest of the day as you wish, perhaps heading out from your hotel to explore the city and stopping at one of the famous coffee houses in the ‘downtown’ part of the capital.

Day 2 - Madaba, Mount Nebo, Wadis & Kerak

Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Wadi Al Mujeb - Kerak - Petra

Leave the city behind as you drive along the ancient King’s Highway, a stretch of road dating back to Biblical times. Stop at Madaba to visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St George which houses a 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land before continuing to the burial site of Moses – Mount Nebo. Head to the top for incredible views out over the Holy Land. Jump back on the 2,000 year old King’s Highway and journey to the 12th century Crusader Castle, perched atop a hill. Your arrival into Petra ends the day’s tour.

Day 3 - Petra Full Day

Full Day Tour of Petra

Ever wanted to see one of the New Seven Wonders of the World? Today is your chance to do just that! Jordan’s leading tourist attraction, the ancient city of Petra, lovingly nicknamed the ‘Red Rose City’ is carved directly into the rose-coloured sandstone. Start your full day tour walking (or on horseback) through the narrow gorge known as the Siq before coming to the most photographed part of Petra – the Treasury. With your professional guide explore the tombs and architecture and if you’re feeling up to it, climb the 800 stairs to the monastery for jaw droppingly-good views.

Day 4 - Overnight in Wadi Rum

Follow in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia as you drive into the echoing Wadi Rum desert, a lunar-like landscape with incredible sand dunes surrounded by granite and sandstone cliffs. Get your heart racing as you bump up and over the dunes on a thrilling 4X4 jeep safari. Then, spend the night at Bedouin camp dining on a traditional dinner and learning about the way of life of these nomadic people.

Day 5 - Wadi Rum to Aqaba

Wadi Rum - Aqaba

This morning travel from Wadi Rum to the resort town of Aqaba on the Red Sea. Here you’ll find some of the best snorkelling and diving in the world among the coral reefs along the coast south of the city. If you prefer, stay on dry land and walk the narrow streets and alleys that make up the city’s Corniche.

Day 6 - Day Trip to the Dead Sea

Aqaba - Dead Sea - Amman

Make your way north along the Wadi Araba Road towards the Dead Sea, one of the most spectacular places on earth surrounded by the hills and mountains of Jerusalem. Float in the salty waters, known for their therapeutic qualities or treat yourself to an indulgent mud treatment!

Day 7 - Jerash & Ajloun

Amman - Jerash - Ajlourn - Amman

On your final full day in Jordan head to Jerash, one of the best preserved sites of Roman architecture, once hidden entirely by golden sands. Here you’ll walk colonnaded streets, stroll through ancient plazas and explore the city’s tombs and theatres. Next, travel past pine forests and olive groves to the hilltop Ajloun Castle built in the times of the Crusades, before ending the day with a Panoramic City Tour of Amman.

Day 8 - Departure Day

Amman - Airport

Have a final breakfast in Jordan before being collected and transferred to Queen Alia International Airport for your return flight back to the UK.
