After the guided tour, there's chance to discover one of the incredible cenotes in the area; an underwater sinkhole nourished by underground rivers. Lunch is included.
You will then move on to the capital of the state, Merida, a fascinating city, known for its architecture, colonial charm and quaint narrow streets. The colonial heritage has been preserved in the historic district and the Plaza Grande (central square) is surrounded by ancient buildings. You will have time to explore Merida thoroughly.

Uxmal & Kabah

Meaning three times built, Uxmal is situated within a series of hills known as the Puuc and comprises of horizontal palaces placed around quadrants richly decorated with detailed sculptures and is enveloped by legends & myths. Hi-lights of this lesser known site include the Pyramid of the Magician (once the home of a leprechaun!) and the Great Pyramid. Uxmal is remarkable and provides a wonderful insight into the Mayan culture.
Kabah flourished around 800 A.D. and its main attraction is the Palace of the Masks with over 250 faces of the rain god Chac. Kabah is connected with Uxmal by a ‘sacbe’ (Mayan road). Lunch is included at a local restaurant.
