Los Angeles is a prime location for a variety of activities, including skateboarding and surfing against a coastal backdrop, cycling or horseback riding, hiking through parkland and into the Santa Monica Mountains, golf, ice-skating, skiing and snowboarding, and paying a visit to any number of the city's museums - LA has more museums and galleries than any other US city. This is also the place to be if you're in search of a little pampering, as indulgent spa days are LA's specialty.

In a city as cosmopolitan as LA, you know that you're in for a treat when it comes to dining - you won't be disappointed. LA is divided into a number of neighbourhoods, each boasting their own restaurants and cuisine, and you could quite comfortably eat a different, internationally inspired dish, each night. The Little Sister Restaurant in the financial centre produces outstanding Asian style cuisine and the recently stylishly refurbished The Rose, serves wood-fired dishes.

Visitors to this vibrant city will be enticed by everything there is to see and do, with famous attractions including the Hollywood Walk of Fame, VIP Experience at Universal Studios, the Chinese Theatre, the Getty Center with wonderful art and great city views, Griffiths Observatory and Park (free entry), Staples Center stadium, and of course Disneyland.
