Travel Tips & Advice for Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Orlando Resort Activities

Florida's largest water play area is Blastaway Beach in the Wet 'n Wild theme park where you can cool off when it's hot and sunny. Underground thrill seekers enjoy the ride dubbed "Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts" while roller-coaster lovers can choose their own music aboard the "Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit". Concerts are lively and varied and the Mardi Gras is one of the high points in the events calendar, with parades, street performers and authentic Cajun food and drinks.

Universal Orlando Resort Food & Drink

Whether you prefer American, Mexican or European cooking there's a menu for you here. Several themed restaurants appeal to children, including Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous. Harry Potter fans hang out in the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade to try Butterbeer. Universal Orlando Resort area holidays cater for fine dining in premier restaurants and on-site hotels. Reserve a table if you plan to enjoy a delicious dinner at Lombard's Seafood Grille, followed by an evening film show.

Universal Orlando Resort Attractions

Universal Studios are a huge draw as are the Islands of Adventure. The studios offer backstage tours plus access to film sets, shows and rides. The shopping and dining is themed to add to your enjoyment, including the famous Minions and the Simpson family. At Islands of Adventure you can confront the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park, step into the world of Dr Seuss with the Cat in the Hat ride (for children under 10 years), not forgetting a trip to Hogwarts Castle of Harry Potter fame.
