Your dream holiday is just a phone call away

After studying Computer Engineering at Westminster University, my first job was in the IT department of a small travel agency. While working here, I gradually became more and more involved in the airline side of the company and took over dealing with the airlines. Continuing with this for a few years, I eventually grabbed the opportunity to move into sales and haven't looked back since!

Q & A with our expert nelash

How Many Years Have You Worked in the Travel Industry?

26 years!

What's Your Favourite Destination and Why?

New Zealand. It's the most beautiful place I've visited with some of the most spectacular scenery you can find anywhere in the world.

Which Destination/s Do You Specialise In?

The Middle East & Indian Ocean.

What's at the Top of Your Bucket List?

I'd absolutely love to either drive a convertible or ride a motorcycle across Route 66 in the USA.

Why Do You Love Working in Travel?

I really enjoy the feedback I receive from my clients when they have returned from their dream holiday; it makes me feel good knowing I have done my job well and helped them experience something they'll remember. Also, some of the perks are pretty good, especially when I get to travel for work and experience new destinations first-hand!

What's Your Best Childhood Holiday Memory?

It's not a holiday memory per say, but I'll always remember when my dad used to take me to the airport and drive onto the car park roof so we could watch the planes take off and land.

What Was Your Best Ever Trip?

Visiting family in New Zealand - I ended up extending my stay for six months! I travelled around the North Island and managed to catch up with a friend who was out there working for a few weeks. I also travelled to Sydney to meet some friends who were there to attend a wedding. The whole trip was such an amazing experience.

What Was Your Most Awe-Inspiring Moment?

Whizzing down the incredible Jais Flight zipline in Ras Al Khaimah. It's the world's longest zipline and gives you a spectacular vantage point of the rugged desert mountains.

What's the One Item You Always Take with you?

Noise-cancelling headphones. They're a must for getting some much-needed shuteye, especially if there's a screaming baby on your flight!

What's Your Top Travel Tip?

Pack early and arrive early for peace of mind and a stress-free experience.

Biggest Blunder Abroad

Dropping my phone between the lift shaft one day before my flight home. All my travel documents and COVID results were on it! Luckily, the engineer came within a few hours and retrieved it for me - amazingly, there wasn't a scratch on it, especially considering it had dropped from the third floor!

My Top Recommendations

My Most Recent Work Trip

I recently went to the Maldives to explore the incredible OZEN Collection resorts, which are amongst the archipelago's most luxurious properties.

My Favourite Hotel

The One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius. The service and location are both outstanding - it's situated in a unique part of the island with its own shimmering lagoon and a stunning beach.

My Secret Gem

The TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao Noi in Thailand. Located on a secluded part of the island of Koh Yao Noi, it offers access to great trekking trails and you can venture out and discover hidden caves with private beaches.
