My travel career began in 1998 when I started selling holidays to France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Since then, I have worked for several major tour operators to expand my worldwide product knowledge. I live and breathe travel and love representing the finest hotels, destinations and cultures, creating unforgettable bespoke holidays for my clients.

How Many Years Have You Worked in the travel industry?

26 years.

What's your favourite destination and why?

Thailand. I adore the beaches, temples, food, culture and people. I love wandering through the night markets and hunting for a bargain, being driven around in a tuk-tuk to sample the sights and sounds of Bangkok, and relaxing on one of this incredible country's many beautiful beaches.

Which destination/s do you specialise in?

Europe and the Far East.

What's at the top of your bucket list?

For many years I have dreamt of cruising the Mekong River on a luxury ship, drifting from Cambodia into Vietnam. Hopefully I will be able to do this very soon!

Why do you love working in travel?

I love finding dream holidays for my clients and putting smiles on their faces. There is so much variety in my job and I love being able to learn about new destinations.

What's your best childhood holiday memory?

We travelled a lot as a family; almost every school holiday. But I will always remember our trip to Halkidiki in Greece. I was 14 at the time and my father hired a yacht so we could explore the highlights of the region. From hidden beaches to amazing snorkelling spots to scenic mountain hikes to visiting monasteries where we ate with the monks - it was such a formative experience for me.

What was your most recent work trip?

Antigua. This stunning Caribbean island has the perfect climate, fabulous beaches, really friendly people and a great choice of accommodation. It's definitely one of my favourite islands in the region because it feels so authentic and not too commercialised.

What was your most awe-inspiring moment?

The views from the Santorini Caldera. Just a few minutes' walk from the centre, you stare out into one of the most breathtaking views I've come across anywhere in the world. You must visit to see it for yourself.

What's the one item you always take with you?

A camera! I love capturing great moments for my social media profile.

Biggest Blunder Abroad

I booked a tour guide in Hanoi, Vietnam. At one of the stops, he stated that we were at the Little Richard Temple. I asked him, "Did you say Little Richard?" He nodded confidently. "Yes, Little Richard!" I wanted to tell him that I was quite sure it wasn't, but I just smiled and said: "Okay". Later, I realised we had been at the Temple of Literature.

My Best Ever Trip

All my travels have been unique, and I have visited many countries and experienced so many different adventures. But if I had to narrow it down, I would have to say my first visit to Thailand because of the sheer diversity of things this amazing country has to offer.

My Favourite Hotel

Six Senses Yao Noi in Koh Yao Noi, Thailand. No wishes go unmet here and dreams do come true...The setting is stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean. The rooms are well-appointed and boast wonderful plunge pools that offer a real sense of privacy. I definitely recommend paying a little extra for a sea view.

Secret Gem

The Four Seasons Bali Resort at Jimbaran Bay. This glorious resort is a haven of peace and quiet away from the chaos. It's located on a sheltered bay and the Villas and Residences feature outdoor living areas, private pools and gardens. There are three restaurants, Balinese performances are held in the beautiful Temple Courtyard, and visitors can participate in rituals, ceremonies and cultural activities that make you feel truly immersed in authentic Balinese culture.
