In the Maldives’ Baa Atoll, a UNESCO world biosphere, Seaside Finolhu is reached by a scenic 30 minute seaplane transfer from Malé. You’ll be greeted upon arrival in Malé by the resort's representatives and whisked away to a private lounge exclusively for guests of The Small Maldives Island Co. to which Seaside Finolhu belongs.

Diving was banned here in 2017, to protect the animals, but you can still snorkel to see them up close. You can book an excursion to this magical destination through the resort.
  • Marine biology trips – Seaside Finolhu has its very own marine biologist whose work is dedicated to preserving the stunning Baa Atoll. You can book onto an excursion to learn more about their work and the incredible marine life that resides in the ocean around the resort.

Dine with your feet in the sand

The highlight of a stay here has to be the Crab Shack, located on the island’s sandbank. Catch the boat across from the main jetty and stroll back to walk off the guaranteed indulgence! Days can be spent relaxing by the resorts stunning pool or perhaps indulging in a massage in the Fehi Spa where chandelier-lit divans create a perfectly chilled ambience in each 10 pastel-coloured treatment huts. Men don’t have to miss out as Finolhu has its own barber.

Smash your fitness goals with a sporting superstar

Guests will a little more energy may want to sign-up for a TRX training class with the in-resort UFC GYM Coach and Master Trainer, Geneviève Soszynski. Her classes are tough but incredibly fun – and provide the perfect excuse for treating yourself to that extra signature cocktail! Of course Finolhu offers all the usual Maldivian watersports and excursions but the fantastic gym facilities, activities such as X Jet Blades and surfing really set this island apart for fitness enthusiasts.

Book a night in the beach bubble tent

How do I get to Seaside Finolhu in the Maldives? 

You'll reach this stunning resort via a 30-minute seaplane transfer. Alternatively, you can book onto a 20-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Airport before hopping on a speedboat for another 30 minutes.

What is the food like?

There are four restaurants in total on the island including Kanusan, an award-winning overwater dining destination serving incredible Asian cuisine from its open kitchen. All-day dining, authentic Middle Eastern dishes and a dedicated pizza counter are also on the menu. If you're looking for a snack, the Milk Lab serves up homemade pastry and sandwiches and the Beach Club is where you can swim up during the day for signature cocktails in the pool.

Is there a gym? 

For those who don't want to let their fitness goals slide, you'll find the Fehi Spa not only offers indulgent treatments and a sauna but also a gym and yoga pavilion.

Is Seaside Finolhu family-friendly? 

Even though this resort certainly caters to adults and honeymooners, it is also a great place to stay as a family. Kids will love heading off for the day with the Oceaneers Kids' Club, while parents can enjoy the rest of the resort's facilities.
