Dubai is jam-packed of activies to keep you busy for your whole trip.
With well over 300 days of sunshine a year and average temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, it’s safe to say Dubai doesn’t feature high on the list of the world’s top skiing destinations. Should you find yourself with an urge to hit the slopes, however, then rest assured that over 22,500 square metres of the white stuff awaits you at Ski Dubai.
The indoor ski centre maintains a constant temperature of around -1 degrees Celsius, enabling skiers and snowboarders to enjoy five different runs – the longest of which stretches for over 400 metres.
Put your skills to the test on a range of jumps and tube slides in the freestyle zone, pick up some tips from the helpful instructors or chill out with a bite to eat at one of the on-site restaurants. Full equipment hire is also available.
The resort also forms part of the Mall of the Emirates; one of the largest shopping complexes in the world. For a great insight into what you can expect from your visit to Ski Dubai, check out this post by Blonde Ambition.

You can choose to go it alone, or jump in tandem – which enables you to experience the same adrenaline rush, with the added security of being harnessed to one of the professional instructors.
So if you fancy being a daredevil for a day, hit up SkyDive Dubai for an aerial experience like no other. And don’t worry, if you prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground whilst your friends head for the skies, then simply kick back in the SkyDive Café and await their return.

Explore Dubai by Bike
The BYKY bike share service was introduced to Dubai in 2013 and has already established itself as one of the most popular ways for both residents and visitors to tour the city. Hire a bike for a quick 30 minute trip or keep it for up to 24 hours – the choice is yours. Either way, it’s a great way to take in new sights whilst keeping active.
The easy-to-use system enables you to register for an account online at BYKY Stations (registration fee is 1AED) prior to arrival in Dubai. You can then log in via a computer or smartphone app, select your desired rental location and then simply collect your bike from a station of your choice.
The stations are conveniently located in some of the city’s most popular districts. A total of five pick-up points can be found on Burj Khalifa Boulevard alone, whilst multiple stations can also be found in areas such as Dubai Marina, the Palm Jumeirah and Jumeirah Road.
Prices are reasonable as well, with an hour’s rental costing 20 AED or 30 AED for three hours. Alternatively, you can keep your bike for a full 24 hours at a cost of AED 80.
Dubai Creek River Cruise
Dubai Creek is a salt water inlet from the Persian Gulf which cuts through the heart of Dubai’s Old Town, dividing it into two sections; Deira and Bur Dubai. The Bateaux Dubai river cruise offers visitors the chance to view the city from the waterway, featuring exquisite cuisine and equally impressive views.
The cruise departs from the Deira side of Dubai Creek, where a red carpet welcome awaits you upon arrival to the glass-enclosed vessel. The two and a half hour sailing offers you a stunning 360-degree view of the Creek and the eye-catching Dubai skyline.
The evening dinner cruise departs every night at 8.30pm and features a four course á la carte menu, freshly prepared on board by the Executive Chef.
You can also book a private cruise for special occasions, be it wedding receptions or parties, whilst breakfast cruises and High Tea events can also be tailored to suit your individual needs. Alternatively, book a seat at the Captain’s Table or reserve the exclusive Prestige Lounge.
