Day 1 - Arrival and transfer to Dambulla

Arrive Colombo and transfer to Dambulla

On arrival at Colombo International Airport you'll be met by a professional English speaking driver and transferred to your hotel in Dambulla

Day 2 -Anuradhapura Ancient City & the Oldest Tree

Dambulla - Anuradhapura - Dambulla

After an early breakfast depart for Anuradhapura where you'll tour the ruins of this ancient city and see the oldest tree on earth, the Sri Maha Bodhi. Return to your hotel in Dambulla for an overnight stay.

Day 3 - Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Polonnaruwa

Polonnaruwa - Dambulla

Visit the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress and frescoes. Built in the 5th century, Sigiriya rises 200 metres above a forested plain. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sigiriya is Asia’s best preserved city of the first millennium, and has a magnificent palace perched on its summit. In the afternoon visit the Walled City of Polonnaruwa with its monasteries, temples, bathing pools and Buddhist statues. Stay overnight at your hotel in Dambulla

Day 4 - Painted Cave Temples and the former City

Dambulla - Kandy

En-route to Kandy visit the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, spice gardens and a batik factory. Arrive at hotel in Kandy for lunch. This former capital city is encircled by hills and is the site of the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 5 - Elephant Orphanage, Sacred tooth & a show

Kandy - Pinnawella

Depart for Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage for an up close and personal experience with the world's largest land mammals. After spending time with the nearly 70 elephants, return to Kandy for a city tour ,taking in the market, arts and crafts centre and the Temple of the Tooth Relic. You'll also experience a traditional Kandyan dance and culture show.

Day 6 - Botanical Gardens and Little England

Nuwara Eliya

Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and proceed to Nuwara Eliya, stopping en-route to visit a tea plantation and factory. Upon arrival to Nuwara Eliya head off on a sight-seeing tour, taking in the city's mock-Tudor mansions and red brick walls, before spending the evening at leisure. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 7 - Kitulgala and its famous film setting


After breakfast leave for your resort via Kitulgala, sight of the famous film Bridge on the River Kwai before having lunch at Kitulgala where your tour ends.

Onward to the beach to extend your stay, or to the airport for your onward or home flight.
