Tharroe of Mykonos Hotel
As family-run, boutique hotels go, Tharroe of Mykonos is up with the best, thanks to both the property itself and flawless Aegean Sea views.
It’s charming, overlooks the Aegean and packs an awful lot into its cosy grounds; the award-winning Tharroe of Mykonos is, officially, one of the island’s best boutique hotels. Here – on a hillside, a 20-minute walk from Mykonos Town – every piece of furniture is perfectly arranged in harmony with the wider decor scheme of beach-chic. Your days can be spent lounging on a sun deck overlooking the Mykonian coast, and evenings enjoying an al fresco meal of local specialities under the stars; heaven.

All Rooms
Due to the layout of the building, guestrooms are relatively modest in size, though all available space is expertly used, with a combination of whitewash walls, a clean colour palette and plenty of light adding to that sense of comfort. Some of the higher-end suites include a Jacuzzi though all enjoy a rain shower and/or spa bathtub, balcony and plentiful mod-cons. That said, for the extra space, furnished lounge area, elevated position in the building and preferable views from your terrace, the suites more than justify an extra investment if possible.
